Unhappy Screen fade - save my marriage - 12-22-2006, 07:56 PM

My husband ran over my Blackberry, actually his SUV did. He got me a new one (good). But, the new screen is hard to read (bad). Pale, washed out from my usual viewing angle - OK when tilted down. Not good when taking a quick look on the Expressway, doing 65. Little contrast between Icons and screen

Is there an adjustment somewhere??? Any ideas???

One of the things I loved about my Blackberries (yes I've had two already) is the viewability from many angles. Both of the previous BBs were great.... this one is very particular....

Sigh .... Any thoughts, anyone ???

Thanks

Cindy

Which BB? 8700? I assume since it is posted in 8700 forum, but a confirmation would be nice.

One thing that might help your marriage is that if you just got it, you can usually return it. Then get the one you want. If it has been too long to return it then I hope you will consider forgiving your spouse anyways.

The screen may be defective. the view angle is very good on an 8700. I would bring it back.

You are in trouble if anything people here say can save your marriage!!

The 8700g has a VERY bright screen if you turn it up. It should be quite easy to see in almost every situation except for direct sunlight.
