Default Locking / Hiding applications? - 01-07-2007, 03:14 PM

8700g under T-mobile.

I see there is a way to hide applciations, but I can't seem to hide the messages application.. why and how? I see I have two icons for messages the general one and the one for the specific email address. any way to remove or hide the general one?

Any way to lock by application? Any way change icons for an application?

No you can't change the icon(s)... You can use a different theme though... You also cant lock and icon. They can be moved and / or hidden (some can't be hidden)

Hope that helps

Default bummer - 01-07-2007, 03:29 PM

bummer... Do new themes allow for application security or a way around this? How stable / reversible are new themes? Are you talking about 3rd party themes? Recommend any?

Nope. Apps that can't be hidden can't be hidden. Move the icon to the bottom of the home screen.

Different themes will have different icons and there are several themes available for the 8700... Check out the theme section of this site

Hey...what about going to your home screen if you're in another application? I haven't figured that out on my 8700c yet.

Alt + Esc. will leave the application running like Alt + Tab in Windows...Is that what you are asking?

Or press the red phone button. That will take you to the home screen, too.

Alt+esc......I was thinking the delete key was my escape key. Forgot it was the button below the scroll wheel. Thanks.
