Default Browser gone? Bes v Bis - 01-08-2007, 01:50 PM

Was on a BES through work... recently left the company.

Called cingular and switched to BIS to save $15 a month.

I used to have Cingular/Blackberry/Blackberry

3 browsers... now i only have cingular. is this correct? Do i lose the other 2?

ALSO... anyone have a link to that topic where everyone poseted what their 'sent from blackberry:....." thread is?

Not sure about cingular, did the previous company remove the BES info from the device? Try having Cingular resend the service books and register on the network again...

Thats ANOTHER problem... i cant get the policy off... i try and wipe and put blank on

But it still says "can not open inside/outside firewall due to IT policy"

Nothing shows up in the phone itself that theres a policy, but it wont let me do anything

Can you contact the IT department and have them remove the policy? They should do it as long as it's your BB

No, cause i was removed from the system a while ago.. They use your employee ID number, and it requires a call to India.

They cant pull my acct up.

And I am not connected to the BES...so they cant push it down

Any other suggestions?

You should have 2 on BIS and 3 on BES.

Regarding BBMessenger contacts I have found that it's best to delete the contacts from the old phone first (as that deletes you in your buddies contact lists.) Then re-add them to your new phone. I had problems where my buddies tried to send me a message but the messages didn't go through because they were still going to the old pin.
