I want to buy a Pearl for when I am going out but I need a sim card to bounce between phones, if I have them unlocked can I achieve this?

No SIM card on Verizon. Only GSM networks (TMO, CINGULAR) use SIM cards in the US.

it's the right time to crash, is it not?

Verizon and Sprint do NOT use SIM cards.

T-Mobile and Cingular/AT&T do.

Has the Pearl been released on CDMA? Last I heard, it was still GSM only.
