Hello:
Our company has a number of 8707 BBs that receive their email via a BES server based here in the UK. For UK based users all is OK - they can send and receive emails without problems.

However, we have one user who is based in the USA who needs to communicate with our BES server. His Blackberry (which is on the same account as the others) will not send and receive emails when he is in the USA. All of the BBs are on a global tarrif

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be.

Have the BES and Exchange administrators ensure that all permissions are set up properly between the Exchange servers and the BES.

Does your provider have a roaming GPRS aggrement with UK providers.
