Hello,

I have a huge problem that i can't seem to fix even after searching hours after hours on the internet... I bought an unlocked blackberry 8700c from eBay, (its Cingular branded)... When i pop in my Fido Sim card, it searches for the network for about 2 mins and then says "No Service" wherever i am. This is odd because in any other phone it gets full reception. There is also no "SOS, GSM or EDGE" information on the screen.

I need help because i have a nice new 8700c and its not getting any service bars at all... can any one help?

PS. I have version 4.1

How do you know it is unlocked... although you were told that by the seller?

My seller told me it was unlocked, how would i know if it really is?

if it was really unlocked, what else would explain the problem of not getting service?

I read somewhere that if a phone was unlocked it would display "Invalid sim"
