Other than adding the Chinese language. What does update add from the last 4.2 version for the 8700?

No, haven't added it because it won't load to my device anyway. Eh, stupid cingular.

Does anyone have QQ running in v4.2? Mine doesn't work. It always showing "waiting for login"(in Chinese).

Also does anyone know which version of opera mini runs ok on V4.2?

After you put the above ALX file in the correct path, did you run desktop manager again to install the.themes?
Yes I did. It asked me to "upgrade the core 4.2" (or similar). I did not think it was related with the ALX file so I did not do that.

However, when I restarted the desktop mgr for the 2nd time, it asked the same question again. So I clicked OK and started the upgrade process.

It worked and I got all themes.

Thanks! Love the Vodafone theme.

Not sure if it has been mentioned. I can use the shortcut (D=delete, r=reply...etc) in the email box without using the trackwheel to enable to menu.

This is exactly what I am waiting for someone to find out - anyone?

I would try this update myself - but can't - since I have a 8707...

I guess I should ask again

Has anyone noticed any difference between this version and the vodaphone version? The vodaphone versions seems to be a higher version. (More patches?) Im confused with blackberry numbering scheme.

So anyone?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It is part of the OS 4.2, open up desktop manager and use apication loader to install it.

In the 4.2.1.85 software I think there is actually an error in the lbs.alx that prevents it from installing. Any instance of the ~ character needs to be removed

I actually like this OS a lot better than the previous version I had installed on my BB. Everything works really well. Except for a few ringtones which are no accessible. Other than that no problems. The format is excellent and more convenient!

I managed to put the file on specific dir, but when I connect bb and start DM I don't see any difference. Do I have to install it manually?

Did you unzip it before you put the file there, also after you start desktop manager, did you double click application loader.
