In the title of the thread Latest OS Release: 8700g/c (GSM only) v4.2.1.155/4.2.1.96 . Does (GSM only) mean that this OS can not be used on a 8700g using EDGE?

Thanks for any info,

Does any one knows after upgrading v4.2.1.85 on 8700g, why sometimes either party do not hear each other? I appreciate for answer. Thanks

I have tried over and over to install the 4.2 OS on the BB. I have downloaded the file 8700M_PBr4[1].2.1_rel108_PL2.3.0.59_A4.2.1.66_Telefonica_Venezu ela. I installed it and open the desktop manager but nothing happens. I opened the App loader and nothing happens. I don´t get that upgrade option that you should get when opening the desktop manager after the installation. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks

Lightbulb does anyone know? - 04-16-2008, 04:51 PM

tried the latest update 4.2 releases and while I didn't have any major issues" Volume is noticeably lower on ring tone and alarms,I could not paste in some entry fields in the browser as well at the themes have the same application layout. Does anyone know how I can return to the older version 4.1.1 or where I can download it.. Thanks

Welcome to the BBForums!

The themes really don't change that much in this series, except that you can find lots of free and pay themes around our Media Section here.

Downgrade the OS: How do I downgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

Find the OS you want by following the initial post in this thread that says "Previous OS thread Here" and clicking through those until you find one you like.

Good luck.

Wait edit, not there....

You need to do a search on the OS you want, on BBF in this 8700 section. I am looking also.
