Default Blackberry for internet on laptop - 05-12-2007, 04:46 PM

Can you do it through the USB cable? I have access to a blackberry and would like to use it to give internet access to my laptop while traveling. Any ideas?

Thanks! Jason

But it will be slow. Generally with Cingular, you can expect 50-90 kbps, a bit faster than dial up, with a max of 236 kbps in most areas, 285 kbps or so in upgraded areas. BBs do not have 3G capabilities.

Yea, I would not mind the speed, but the trouble you have to go through to get it to work almost seems to much. I'm sure to some it is easy, but to me...

Sharkmodem? Tell me more!!!
I am using Sprint and the charges for data are pretty high when I use BB as a modem. If I just use the existing internet connection on the BB I wouldn't have the same issue, right?
