Smile 8700v to Trasmit JPGS to a Picture Desk - 05-14-2007, 08:24 AM

Dear Everyone,

I am totally new to this forum and I am hoping that somebody may be able to help me.

i own a Blackberry 8700v and use it on the Vodafone network in the UK.

I am a photographer who has been asked to take pro sports images at football games. My picture desk will require me to trasmit images to them as the game is in progress.

So I would like to know if it is possible to use my 8700 to trasmit images from my laptop to a remote address using the mobile internet features.

Any help would be very kindly received.

Kind regards

Andrew G Crozier

Andrew, yes you can, by using your BB as the modem or "tethering" your laptop to the BB.

See this FAQ section for details:

Smile Quick Question on the Instructions - 05-14-2007, 09:36 AM

Thankyou very much for pointing me to this resource, i notice that in step 9, action 9 there is no mention of Vodafone when asking to add the new internet connection by carrier?

Should this be a problem?

Many Thanks

I personally don't know the answer to that, but perhaps someone who does will chime in.

Try this: (scroll down list to your carrier)

Until then, I found this thread also, perhaps it is helpful...
