The version is 4.1.0.384 which is more relevant than the package number for most purposes

That depends on the apps version you had before. I'm pretty sure 4.1.0.377 was the highest CDMA build out before, so it probably is

Still there if you work your way from the sprint page.

Unhappy No 4.2 - 05-24-2007, 10:27 PM

I think it is unlikely we will be seeing 4.2 anytime soon. Doesn't make sense for both Verizon and Sprint to release 4.1 updates right before releasing 4.2

The latest from my government Sprint rep is that 4.2 won't come out until they release the 8830 in July. He did not say how soon after the 8830, just not before it's release.

Default DST patch included - 05-30-2007, 01:09 PM

v4.1.0.384 includes Daylight Savings Time fix. At least I hope it does. Patch won't install OTA and if I try direct through USB connection I get a message something like "applicable device not found". Other than that I have not noticed any differences.

Default No new mail icon - 05-30-2007, 08:43 PM

There is at least one new bug in this version. With the Zen theme the email icon does not appear on the home screen when new messages are waiting. Works OK with other themes.

I upgraded to this new version last night and I did notice that the email notification icon is not showing up on the zen theme I have on my device. Anyone knows why is this happening? Please let me know if this can be changed, but I really don't miss it much anyway.

I just noticed that if I lock the keyboard (by either clicking on the icon or using the shortcut by pressing the letter 'k') and I get a new email message, I get the email notification icon to show up on the upper left hand corner while using the zen theme! I don't know if this is a bug or what, but seems to be working that way for now.

Does upgrading the software wipe out the hand held or is this an in-place install??

It backs up your data, then wipes out the device, and it reloads your data again so you will have your information back in the device. I hope this helps you.
