Default Cingular & v4.2 for 8700C ? - 05-30-2007, 08:03 AM

Couple questions..............

1) What is the Cingular URL/Link for the O/S level download they support ?
2) When will Cingular get v4.2 support ?
3) Will v4.2 fix the low volume on the headset and speaker phone ? Is there any other fix to increase the gain/volume on the 8700C ? It is almost unusable in a noisy environment.

Regards.

1- Here you go:
BlackBerry Operating System Downloads - BlackBerryFAQ

2- Assuming you mean OS 4.2xx for the 8700? I don't know, it's all guessing.
About a half-dozen other carriers have it now, none in North America, so maybe it is on the way.

I honestly don't remember. I have read this thread with lots of discussion on the 4.2 OS, you might read through it, which is what I would recommend you do anyway... to get others' insight or post that question there.

FYI....for those doing a search this is better link. The website with Cingular link only allows for software, not O/S, selection. This one gives you all listings for download.

I don't know what you are talking about. The link I gave you above, if you click on the "Cingular, the new AT&T" link, will take you directly to the OS download page you requested. I just did it myself to check.
