Default When I send an email from my BlackBerry, it's sending a copy to my inbox... - 06-12-2007, 08:28 PM

When I send an email from my BlackBerry, a few seconds later my phone will buzz indicating that I have an email. The new email is the email that I just sent to someone else. It's only sending to my BlackBerry inbox, not my desktop based inbox.

Anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Thanks!

Log into your BIS account and edit your email accounts. You probably have an Auto BCC set up.

add a filter that in the "from" field..."do not forward" messages containing...

then type in your email address that you are receiving messages etc

It wasn't the Auto BCC. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

As it turns out, I do have to use the Filter as suggested by JGBerry. Apparently, when sending an email from Gmail, Gmail saves the email as a conversation and delivers it to itself (something like that). The Filter option solved the problem.

Thanks to both of you for the help!

Savage--I know you found the answer on your own--and congrats for that, you are brighter than the other 14 average users who ask that each day on here.

But just in case that 15th person is about to ask that same question tonight... here's more detail.
