Default back on my 8703e - 06-27-2007, 08:18 AM

After a mixed bag of a trial, on the 29th day I returned my 8830 last night and reverted back to my 8703e, I uploaded the most recent OS from verizon's website and was back in business in no time. I have a question about the lastest OS posted by verizon on 05/23/07. Did that version have Opera included? B/c it installed on my device with the update and I didn't download it from operamini.com either. I also added the zen theme, but it seems to make my phone sluggish sometimes, I got the .jad from the http://www.knology.net/~acidmax/blac...ay_320x240.zip link, has anyone else had issues with the zen theme taken from the above source?

The Zen theme does that to performance. The only other issues I have with the Zen theme are the needs to frequently reset the device to capture "lost" memory. It eats up free space faster than other themes for whatever reason.

I keep switching between Zen and the Cingular theme...I cannot make up my mind.

does yours momentarily freeze up when you try to close out of the "enterprise activation" screen? I have to close it every time I pull it out of my holster becuase for some reason when I slide the phone into the holster it opens that menu option up, very annoying.

I hope they do come out with a update for the 8830, b/c it's a good phone devalued by the amount of bugs it has.

There's a rumor RIM is working on the final version of OS 4.2 for CDMA devices. I wouldn't except a release till at least September.

I have not had that problem, but my Enterprise Activation icon is gone since I have already activated my phone on the BES. If you are on BIS only, you should hide the icon.
