Hey guys,

After reading through the DIY 8700g to 8700v guide at the top of this forum (the 'sticky') it got me to thinking, is there are any alternative body or case options for the 8700c?

I think the 8700r body would work - it's basically the same as the 8700c but black instead of blue/grey. But are there any others?

You just have to select an 87xx case that has a matching keyboard (or else get the keyboard as well). The 8700r's case will work. It's actually midnight blue. The only black option I've found was via ebay...

Check out the cases by Fortte. IMHO, they are the best. I have a couple of different cases and now use nothing but the Fortte case with my 8700c.
