My message services folder in 'settings' has gone blank too. The whole point of having this BB is to reply to emails on the move, but suddenly after one year it wont. What has/has not reset itself?

try a hard reset followed by re-sending service books if the reset didn't do anything.

Is it an 8707v? Where are you trying to use it? And the obvious, do you have a data plan and a good connection to the network?
