Question Need Help: 8703e, Intellisync, Desktop Manager and Lotus Notes - 09-11-2007, 10:07 PM

And to think I was excited about moving to Blackberry - less I digress. First let me say I have limited IT support at work, Sprint doesnt' know squat about Blackberry's and I am not the most tech savvy or the least tech savvy person. I just got my Sprint 8703e Blackberry. I am running Lotus Notes V8. For the life of me I can't seem to get Desktop Manager to sync with Lotus Notes. I have looked at the Desktop Manager Users Guide and the Forums on Notes and Desktop Manager. I am running the most current release of Desktop Manager 4.2.2.14 and Blackberry Internet Server. I am at my wits end because I need my calendar and contacts off Notes on my Blackberry. I don't want to go the import/export route because this stuff should work with out it. The OK button to configure Lotus Notes grays out when I try to configure Intellisync under desktop manager. I have moved my Notes.ini file into Windows. The notes.ini file is really a notepad. How do I get this set up to sync? Is there a good place that can explain in detail how to get this set up? thanks

I don't believe the current DM supports the Lotus Notes 8 client.

Are you on a BES?

There's a chance that you can get OTA sync of your inbox, calendar, tasks, journal and address book. Then you don't need Intellisync, but if you have no BES, you're SOL until someone hacks the tool to support Notes8 or Intellisync officially supports it. Notes 8 just recently released in any official capacity, so what you're looking for may be coming soon.

No BES. Why can't this work with desktop manager? Should I got back to Notes 7 until it is supported?
