Default Any advice on viewing emails in HTML format? - 09-13-2007, 03:02 AM

I did a little research and have found commercial software available for the Blackberry, but is there a free solution to viewing those annoying emails with image links in HTML. I'm just curious if someone other than me is annoyed with this as well. I don't think paying $20-$30 is worth a crappy software that converts emails to HTML. This should be integrated in the Blackberry OS. We should have the ability to pick and choose, but RIM got selfish lately.

You can't pick and choose right now and $20.00 for a program like BB Smart Email Viewer is definatley worth the money.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

RIM didn't choose not to include HTML e-mail support so they could charge for HTML conversion programs. They did this because plain-text e-mail is more secure than HTML e-mail. They are more concerned with the device being a secure message device as opposed to displaying the e-mail with "nice-looking links."

Lately? Text only email has been since the beginning.

And, welcome to the forums.
