Question Change outgoing email font - 09-14-2007, 12:02 AM

Hi,

One of my boss ask us to change the outgoing email fonts to a larger one. I search over the Internet and ask carrier they said there is no option for that. I reply my boss and she said she received someone's email from blackberry with font Arial 12....

I want to ask if anyone know how can I change the outgoing email font?
I am using 8707g, BES for Exchange.

Thank you for your help!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.8993/50; U; en))

When she viewed the e-mail was she using Outlook? I believe the only fonts available for the BlackBerry for sending e-mails are the ones that come with it. Maybe she has her Outlook set to read e-mails in Arial size 12.

True^^. Email out of the BlackBerry is only text, no size or font is assigned. Your recipient needs to change their default font on their PC's Outlook.

Thank you for your reply.
I have test to send email, and find that the content is "multipart/alternative" which have either plain text part and html part.
When I exam the html part, it had header like below:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=utf-8">
<META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="MS Exchange Server version 6.0.6249.1">
<TITLE>Test</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<!-- Converted from text/plain format -->

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Test<BR>

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can see the the font size 2 there. Do you know if that "Generator" is on the BES side or on the exchange server side?

Thanks.

Sammy.
