Default SMS Lag? - 09-14-2007, 08:41 AM

hey all i have 50% free space and no appz running in back ground. and this is on a reboot also.

well when i go to sms and i hit open it takes a few sec to open, and then when i go to send and hit send it takes few sec to go back to main sms screen. its really ticking me off. i dont have many sms in there. and the history is off so only see one msg at a time. can anyone help me please.

How many SMS messages do you have? You may try pulling the battery and leaving it out for about 60 seconds, and then try again.

Would you be willing to perform a backup using the Desktop Manager, then delete all the SMS Messages (you could actually clear the database using the Advanced option in the Backup/Restore Module), then test it out again? If the same symptoms occur then you can just restore the SMS database.

that's a lot of messages.

another thought... delays in sending messages can be due to carrier network congestion or problems. possibly you're getting hung because of that.

Yea, back it up and clear your messages, that is the lag problem. That would make "sense".

yes.. i see what your all saying i will try it. but i have more email msg then sms msg. which does not make since since only the sms lag not the email?
