Default 8703e-Sprint-Navigation Software/Google Maps - 09-15-2007, 08:39 PM

I downloaded Google Maps for the 8703e, I heard it has navigation built in, but the menu only has an option for a bluetooth GPS device. Does anyone know how to get Google Maps to leverage the 8703e internal GPS? If not, what's the best navigation app option that does leverage the internal GPS and that doesn't cost $10/month? Thank you for your help.

I believe you have to have the 4.2 OS for the GPS to work with Google Maps (which isn't yet available for the 8703e).

While not the best, I use BB Maps with the GPS.

Not so. I just switched from Verizon to Sprint and the GPS works fine on my 8703e with Google Maps.

Make sure you have the GPS turned "on" in your settings.

It's a battery drainer though.

Google Maps does not recognize the internal GPS on Sprint 8703e.
