Default Blackberry dead!!! - 09-19-2007, 11:10 PM

My blackberry 8700c about 8 months old just died the other day. It first started saying battery depleted! shutting down handheld when you turned it on, but now whenever the battery is in there is a battery in the middle of the screen with a white background with lightning through it. It does not respond to any buttons. What do I do!?!?!

Do you have a spare battery? Does the battery charge properly when you plug the charger to it?

I don't have a spare but when i tried the same battery in another blackberry it worked so i'm pretty sure it's a problem with the phone not the battery.

Did you try the second method with the battery removed? Then when the computer sees the device put the battery back in.

I've had devices act up or go bad on the 50th week and called service providers for replacement under regular warranty . . . they've sent replacements, either new or refurbished, with warranty for 90-days or the remaining original warranty period, whichever is longer .. . just need to pay shipping cost. . . .
