Default led stops flashing unable to get calls - 10-09-2007, 05:38 PM

I have the 8703 with Verizon and I am on my 2nd one. This time this will stop flashing green when I still have 1xevdo and 4 bars showing. During this time I can not get any calls or voicemails notifications. It is like the phone is not working. I call Vzw and they have no clue pull the battery try *228 what is the problem?

Do you folks have any idea I am not in a rural area or in the basement of a building. Is it the phone or is it the network or Rim. Should I try another style BB if they give me an option???

Help

No the 1st one never got 1xevdo so that was the problem on that one. I just find it strange. Verizon has been really good on the customer service side they are sending me another replacement but I just find this odd the problems I am having.
Any other thoughts

Sometimes (it looks like yours) we have the same problem here. This week every new blackberry could not do anyting, but all the signs and stats are ok. We have activate it with an old service sim card and it works, at the moment we put the user sim in all stop to work (but on the display are all ok)
We call vodafone and on the servers are the same, all ok. Every service, blackberry, phone and internet are activated. Vodafone found an internal error in her own system.

Can you try another sim card?

Well I would if I could but Verizon does have sim cards. So not sure what the problem is. I get the replacement 8703 today sometime and will try that if it continues I am going to have to go back to a standard phone which is really going to suck.
