Default why do u have to press 2 buttons to go page up? - 10-10-2007, 02:36 PM

i used to have the 7130c and to go page up, i just have to press 1 button. but on the 8700c..first u have to press the num button and then the spacebar.

wtf??? the 8700c has full qwerty keyboard compare to the 7130 and yet u have to press more button to do one simple task?

maybe this belong in the rant forum...but rimm needs to simplified for the 8700 and other full qwerty bb.

I think that is it for what I use.
T to top, B to bottom also work.

ALWAYS check Stinsonddog's Tips for others.

yes i know t for top and b for bottom. but most of the time im in the middle of a page and want to browse up one page...kinda annoying to go all the way to the top and press spacebar. or if u want to browse 2 pages before the bottom..u either have to press num and space twice or go to the top again and browse down. u get my drift.

annoying as hell. i dont see why rimm can assign 1 single button to browse 1 page up for the 8700c when u know damn well they did that for the 7130c?

The space bar works for a scroll up one page, with your BB turned UPSIDE DOWN.

I found a neat trix. Press the num key once and hold down on the spacebar and it keeps scrolling until u let go of the spacebar button.

Now add that to ur faq section. And put my name next to it! I want credit!

How about just using the wheel to go up that one or two pages?

If you hold the ALT key and scroll it goes page by page

scott, thanks. That is what I use. But if you read the original post at top, you will see the users wants a one-handed version.

Not sure what his other hand is up to....

scott_perry is using 8703e and jsander is using 8800 from their profile.

me and tsac are using 8700 and can't scroll page up/down properly with alt/scroll which means 8700 is defective.

Wirelessly posted (7100g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/167)

I miss that functionality from my 7100g too, but I guess overall the move to the 8700v on 4.2 I'm now assigned is a positive one in every other aspect.

It is what it is? Come on now...I will not accept this lazy excuse.

Maybe those lazy rimm programmers may have miss this feature to put it in the new model. only if we post problems like these then we all can become aware of and let rimm know what is up.

why would rimm go backward for this feature is what I don't understand?
