this is my first thread but i'm going to switch to a bb 8703e, i'm using verizon and i've been using a regular flip phone. when i change to bb, would there be any extra charges added to my account from now on? (i'm on a family line).

any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (Breaking Ball: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You'll need a BlackBerry Data Plan from verizon if you intend to use your 8703 for email, web browsing, IM, or other data features.

That'll probably run you about $45 per month on top of your voice plan.
