Default Can the convenience key open the home screen? - 10-19-2007, 11:48 AM

Afternoon All,

I have a Blackberry 8830 and I was looking around and I cannot seem to find a way to set the convenience key to open/switch to the home screen. Is anyone aware of a way to do this? Thank You

If it is not listed as an option in the Convenience Key settings, then it is not an option.

Can I ask what is wrong with tapping the escape key a couple of times, or the red key?

Yea, the end key is essentially just that function.

In alot of applications the escape key is the back (web browsers), or messes up the game, or quits out of the application (which I do not want to do). So my only option is the tabbed out to the home screen.

in "most" applications, the "end" (red) key does not close or exit the application, it just leaves the application running in the background, and goes to the homescreen. The escape will will most often exit or close the application.

The best that you can do with the Convenience Key, that I see anyway, is to set it to Application Switcher. This will save you a little bit of clicking.

Well I will give the application switcher a try then. Thank you everyone for your input.
