I just got a 8800 from someone from the states with a T-mobile BB never been used. Now if I put my rogers sim card in it, will it work here in canada.

If it's unlocked, then sure. I'm using a Rogers Curve on T-Mobile here in the U.S. and after getting it unlocked it performs just like a natively supported T-Mobile device. I still see the Rogers splash screen on startup but that's it.
