Default Can't find the Profiles Icon - 10-29-2007, 08:55 PM

I think that is what I am looking for.. the Profile Icon, where I can set the notification of messages, reminders, calendar events etc. I thought there was an icon.

Yes, there is an icon. Might look like a speaker.

Maybe it's hidden?

I have the one that looks like a speaker, I don't think that is what I want though. The speaker is for Normal, Quiet, Loud etc. I am looking for the icon where I can set the number of rings or vibration, or just have it ring, or just have it vibrate, also there are settings if the blackberry is in the holster our out. Perhaps your right and the icon is hidden, how do I unhide any hidden icons.
Thanks.
Bill.

That is the one you want. Click on one of those (Normal, Quiet, etc) and click Edit.

Ok, you changed your device type since you first posted - tricky

Instead of clicking on Normal or Quiet, scroll down to Advanced and click on that. Then click on the Menu key (with the dots) and then click Edit.

Excellent... Yes, thats it. Thanks so much. Your correct, after I posted I realized that I had not updated my profile. I just got the 8830 a few days ago. I had changed the profile notifications but today I found them too loud so wanted to change them to a lower setting. Thanks for your help.
Bill.
