I just go my 8830 last Thursday. Friday afternoon while taking it off of my belt while it was in the case the clip caught my belt loop and caused me to drop my new phone. Since it was in the case only the left side piece got chunked up in the fall. This upset me greatly mainly because I had only had it a day! So I found and ordered the side pieces from ebay. Can anyone tell me how to switch them out without screwing it up more? Things such as tools needed, step by step process etc. Thanks.

I just ordered an all black kit from Cellular Nationwide Network (http://cnn.cn) to replace the ugly silver case on the Verizon version of the 8830. They have the tools available and just the sides, if that is all you need to replace. If you order a kit for the whole body you get the tools included with the kit, if you chose to go that route.

The parts are shipped from China, so it takes a little bit, but they are the original Blackberry parts.
