Default Coolest BB App - 10-31-2007, 05:37 PM

Just taking a poll on what's the coolest blackberry app out there.

I like TeleNav personally but it's got it's own issues. Not bad if your on the road though.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

As a free app, I like Web Shortcuts.

My favorite app is the phone, but the Calendar and Address Book are right up there!

I agree viigo is awesome. I also love Mobile Systems MSdict concise dictionary and thesaurus - use it all the time. Jivetalk is a close third....

Beyond411 should get my #1 vote, but Viigo is closing in.

I had Beyond 411 installed for a while, for me Typing in the same search criteria in Google Maps gave me the same results + A dot on the map where the business is located.

yea if you're only looking for geo info, yes, GMM is great.

But Beyond411 is so much more than maps... flight tracking, dictionary, reverse phone numbers, i think like 250+ plugins now.

While I do LIKE Viigo, I'd have to say my favorite app is:

VR+

It's a shame that RIM doesn't have this built into their devices. Blackberries can do so much, yet sometimes the simplest things are left to 3rd party software developers....

Thanks for the tip - never heard of it, but saw comments here and downloaded. This is definitely cool, and much faster than looking on various websites for the same info.

BBWeather. First thing I look at in the morning, including e-mail. It's small and is the fastest and most solid app I use. Waiting for MyCast on 8800 series, though...

Have to add, TeleNav (finally for 8830), TellMe, and XM (one day trial only at this point, but it's attractive at $8US a month)
