Just got the 8830. Is there anyway to make the ringers louder then loud? I am still having trouble hearing the ring.

Thanks

Loud is the highest setting, but I found differences between ringtones, too. Try switching to another ringtone to see if that helps.

And welcome to the forums!

I am very interested in finding a ringer I can hear. I also am trying the hook up the phone to use as a modem. I keep getting an error message about wrong user name and password.

Thanks

Yea, I need to figure out where to post them... let me look and i will PM you. If you follow the instructions at the FAQ, tethering the BB to the laptop should work.

I do not know where I found them but ringer number 5 is the loudest respectable ringer I have ever used. It came from one of the older Blackberrys, I think. It is LOUD and sounds like a ringer.

The other members are correct though, try different ringer as they are different volumes

we should all just buy some hearing aids. I find that I just have to find ringers that are a little louder. Some ringers are really quiet.
