Hi everyone. I just got my BB 8830 on Verizon about a month or so ago and I have gotten to where I love it and have figured out most everything on it except that I'm having two problems.

1. The indicator light on my 8830 only blinks red for alerts and doesn't ever blink green. Maybe this is normal but my employee has a lower model BlackBerry which blinks green for whenever she has a signal. Should this be happening on my model or not?

2. I'm a heavy user of calendar and tasks and for some reason everytime I set a reminder for any item, whether it be a calendar or task item, the phone never reminds me. I've checked to make sure I did set the reminder and I've also checked to make sure my profile is set correctly and that reminders aren't muted or on vibrate.

Please help me figure out what I need to do to fix these issues.
