And if you change the SMS network to GPRS will it use data and not go against your text message plan???

Maybe the 8830 doesn't have it. The 8820 does. What does it do if you change it to UCS2?

I want to send SMS in Chinese, I figured out a way of input Chinese on my 8830, but the characters are all messed up in SMS, it's fine in e-mail and other places. I checked online, they all asked to change the SMS "data coding". SO....

Depends on your carrier. Not all carriers support SMS via GPRS.
