Default Chinese input on the 8800 series - 11-06-2007, 06:05 AM

Hi all,

does anybody here know how to get Chinese language viewing/input on the Blackberry 8800 series? Clear instructions would be greatly appreciated!!

First, please make sure the ROM is multi-language, with chinese support;

if it is, you can press Menu when you input the words, select change language, then you will find Pinyin in it.

I searched for "multi-language ROM" and only found this same post. How exactly do you select/install multi-language ROM? This is for an 8800.

multiple language version dont support chinese viewing or input, you need the chinese version, also any version you download will support English.

If I installed a chinese version, can I return to the original English version?

Is all the service will be work well in the chinese version, BTW: I'm a sprint blackberry BIS user.

Chinese version is the same as the English version with the chinese support option.

I checked the link in your signature, it's for 8800 and SmarTone-Vodafone. I'm using 8830 from Sprint, and only found below os. Any advice will be welcome.
