Default MR2 Software delayed? - 11-06-2007, 06:40 PM

Was speaking to our company rep and asked about Thursday's update for VZW. He replied that:

"The MR2 software for the BlackBerry 8830 has been delayed. We are waiting for RIM to give us the update:

http://www.vzam.net/blackberry/"

Do you all interpret this that we are NOT getting an update this Thursday???

That depends on what MR2 software means. Maybe VZW's got a little pressure on the GPS thing from somewhere... hummmm.

Default They Should! - 11-06-2007, 07:22 PM

Shame on them disabling GPS on a phone that does it well. GPS on a phone is also a safety issue in case you need to be found in times of emergency.

All the features on a phone should be enabled by default!

You cannot argue that because E911 GPS still works. However, that's only good if you call 911. What if I don't feel like calling 911? What if I just want to know where I am right before I die?
