I have the dual cradle from Seidio for my 8820. This one will also charge an extra battery at the same time. I was surprised the unit didn't charge unless both the power cable and the USB cable were connected. And the USB had to be connected to a computer which was turned on. I do all my Blackberry stuff on my laptop rather than my desktop machine. I don't always have my laptop powered on. In that condition, the cradle didn't seem to charge.

On thing I have noticed... .not sure if it's a bug or a feature... My 8820 is on a BES which forced a 30 min password lock. If I connect my 8820 to the cradle and have it unlocked on the home screen, the password timeout will not engage after 30 mins. If I use the 8820 in anyway while connected to the cradle (click to a message or something like that) after that, the password lock will engage.

I like the idea of the password not engaging while I am working at my desk. Works well for me.

I have the 8830 docking station for a few weeks now and I love it. Comes with the extra battery, I can plug in the USB while it's charging so that I can surf the web on my laptop. I HIGHLY suggest it!!
