Question VPN for 8830 is there such a thing??? - 11-09-2007, 10:49 AM

I searched but was not able to obtain any solid info on how to if possible....put a VPN on my 8830?
Just wondering...

I'm not sure if the 8830 has VPN, because it doesn't have WiFi. But on the 8820 you go to Options > Security Options > VPN. See if you have that on the 8830.

what would a VPN connection accomplish that a BES would not (for non wifi berrys)?

I do not have BES,I wanted VPN so i can use and connect to my corporate ICq if possible.

You may want to check with your VPN provider (the company who builds the VPN concentrator that your business is using) to see if they have a BlackBerry client - but I wouldn't hold your breath
