i bought a 8300 a few weeks ago and then the 8310 came out and they are letting me swap my device.. can i just connect my 8300 and backup all my info to ipd then restore it when im connected to my new device or do i really need to use the backup wizard.. the back up wizard poses an issue because in order to get the new device i need to return my old one so i will not have access to the 2 devices at the same time..

Well, if you wont have access to both, you can't use the wizard. So backup/restore is all you can do. The downside is OTA applications are not backed up, but they are carried over by the Switch Device Wizard.

I prefer the switch device wizard as it move all your settings and data but unless you have both devices . . . . back up and restore will do good!
