I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem. I had used the phone several times today and now when I type on my keyboard the SYM comes up on the screen as b$ or the 0 key comes up as yi and not 0. Push the trackball down and it types uo.

I have no clue as to what is wrong. I have taken the battery out for 30+ seconds and still no joy. I have searched google and all other forums to see if anyone else has had this but haven't found any hits.

If anyone can help it would be so greatly appreciated.

Please go into Options / Language and make sure they are all set properly.

Problem is, I have to enter my password to get in and I can't b/c part of my password has a "0" in it which shows as "yi".

Oh wow! This has to be a first. This is not a good place to be at all! You might try a battery pull (it can't hurt) and try again. Otherwise, if you have a recent backup you can just enter it wrong 10 times and it will wipe the berry and you can restore.
