Default Does it really matter? - 11-23-2007, 12:03 PM

I like alot of tech junkies out there have so many different power supplies and chords lying around that I forget what is for what device!
I recently moved and cannot find the proper USB cord for my 8800.
I wanted to sync and do some other things and every chord I try my BB desktop manager says "disconnected".

Does the chord say RIM or something on it? Are there any distinguishing marks?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks

If it's a mini usb cord it will work. there is nothing special about it. I have cords from many different devices as well.

Agreed, any USB mini cord will work. Something else to note is most Motorola USB chargers and car chargers also work well on the 8830.

I appreciate knowing that because the sales people I have experienced are constantly pushing their wires, cords etc.
