Default No Option to Delete from Mail Server after VZW Upgrade - 11-23-2007, 05:17 PM

So after I upgraded to the latest software version available for the VZW 8830, I noticed that I no longer get the option to delete email from the mail server as well as the device.

This happens with my Gmail and school email addresses, with my school being set-up using IMAP, and Gmail using what automatically happens with Gmail accounts in BIS. In addition to not being able to delete messages from the mail server, I have noticed mail delivery is also slow.

I have tried resending the service books, and deleting and re-adding the accounts, with still no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

You need to go back in to your email settings and change them to your choice. Same thing happened to me. A lot of system settings were changed to default after I upgraded.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon BlackBerry 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I looked through a number of settings before posting, but didn't notice those settings. Thanks!
