No where in the manuals and guides does it explain exactly what the screen icons are.
On the BB 8830 world edition, what is the icon just below the bluetooth icon ... sort of a short while slash going upwards from left to right?

and what do the letters "1xev" mean ... theyre on the right hand side at the top... just above the battery level thing and just below the reception thing.
Is there a website or blog somewhere that explains these matters. Blackberry's doesnt.

i've check there. theres no mnention of this white slash thats puzling me.

Is the slash going through a speaker? That would mean that you have the call only profile activated.

nope ... not going through a speaker. just a little slash on its own ... under the bluetooth inco.
and the profile is set to "normal."
