Default Phone microphone too sensitive - 12-07-2007, 10:54 PM

Is there any way to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone. I get alot of comments that I am in a very noisy location when talking on the phone. It seems all of the background noise is picked up by the microphone. Anyone have any ideas? I am using the Sprint network.

I don't have too much of a problem, but I do know that if I use my bluetooth headphone it is much better. I use a Motorola H500 and it works great, however most folks on this site Highly Recommend the Jawbone (I think I am gonna buy myself one for christmas)

Yeah, seems to be an on going issue with the 88xx series. It's been discussed extensively on this forum and the only resolution is "buy a bluetooth headset." Not an acceptable "fix", but unfortunately it's the only "fix" at this time.

And BTW, just noticed your carrier is "sping", interesting
