Google Maps needs a data connection to work. The only way to get a data connection is with the BES/BIS blackberry service on the handset as far as I know.

ok could you clarify taht for me a little bit better please? i went to google.com it downloaded the google maps program when i go to it it shows my location within 5000 meters? but as long as you have unlimited bIS data its included as just data transfer? cause google says its for BES blackberry but it works on mine. i was under the understanding that the only difference between the two is BES lets you access enterprise email accounts?

no it will work for you just fine. your location within 5000m is without GPS. the built in GPS on the device is locked to only VNZavigator
