Default 8800 with out BB data plan - 12-10-2007, 01:09 AM

I have blackberry 8800 but do not have bb data plan as none of service provider in Nepal have that services. I am using it as a GSM mobile phone. My service provider have GPRS also but I don't have idea about the software for internet browser (the original browser does not open with out BB data plan) and pop3 email. Anyone have idea?
Please help

If you can get the apn settings from your carrier you can enter them under Options >Advanced Options >TCP then you may be able to use Opera Mini. Sorry, no pop email without a data plan.

I really don't think you will be able to browse the web without a blackberry data plan. I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.

You need some kind of data plan to get web browsing. You can use a regular smart phone data plan and use Opera Mini for the web, just not the Blackberry web browser.

yes, I am using opera mini and veriChat. It works. Any one have idea about the software for pop3 email download.
