I Bought A Blackberry 8830 From Ebay Which Is Registered With Sprint But The Phone Is Unlocked. I Leave In Greece So I Am Using A Greek Service Provider Called "wind". The Phone Has Saved The Old Number Of The Person Who Had The Phone In Its Memory.

How Can I Remove The Old Number And Put My Greek Number.

Also When I Try To Make A Phonecall If I Dont Use The Area Code Of Greece The Phone Automatically Places +1 In The Number Which I Dial Which Is The Us Area Code.

Please Help Me.

1. The number should have changed with the new Greek SIM you put in the phone. Where are you seeing the old number displayed?

2. Go to Phone Dialer screen > Options > Smart Dialing. Place your Greek country in the box with a "+" in front of the number. Such as "+30".

when i press the green button which is to dial is says on top of the screen My Number : 414 732....

Regarding the are code i changed it thank you Jsanders for that. now only the "my number" is remaining to be changed.

Then you can go, from the main home screen, to Options > Advanced > SIM Card.

What number is there under "Phone Number"? If incorrect, hover over it, click menu to edit and save.

If that does not work, you can HIDE it completely by going to the phone dialer screen > Options > General Options > Show "My Number" = NO.

when i press options->advance options->sim card-> than is says ID: 8930.................. a huge number with many zeros, i dont see the number 41473... which i mention to you before.

Then, in that SIM card screen, is there not a place that says "Phone Number"? If not, click menu there, anyway, and see if you can add it.

Otherwise, I don't know what to do. The phone number of the device is normally designated by that screen from the SIM card. You can always hide it as described above.
