Default I must be blind - 12-23-2007, 12:42 AM

Hi guys, I searched online to the answer and thought I would just ask you guys. I cannot find the browser... I looked at the guide, and I actually don't have the browser option on my menu.... I have no idea why. I also cannot setup my email account because my only option are to "skip the email step" or set it up with an enterprise server when I run the setup wizard.... I'm so confused, I just set up my data plan this morning and after 9 or so hours, I can't seem to find any way to get on the net. PLease help!

Try removing the battery and reinserting. If the browser still doesn't come up you may need to contact Sprint.

Oif the battery pull didn't work try this. Options advance options host routing table. Then hit the blackberry button left of the trackball and register now. If that don't work call the provider they might have to push the books

I hope you do have a BB Data Plan from Sprint. I don't believe they will sell a BB without one, but, if your account does not have the Data Plan, you won't have the browser or email setup.

I had the same issue with my new 8830 from VZW (I'm a BB newbie), and I was cursing all sorts of "WTF?!?". Finally, I discovered the trick wabbit mentioned, and "poof", the browser magically appeared. It was quickly filed away and replaced by Opera Mini

Cheers, Chris

I switched over to the ensemble billing plan and switched to the $30 unlimited data plan. Good deal as it adds text msgs unlimited and sprintnav unlimited and is $10 cheaper than the old billing system was even without test and sprintnav.

Good deal

Sprint has a nice option for setting up your e-mail.

sprint.blackberry.com

You go there, enter your PIN and ESC (DEC). You can then set up a user name and password, and add any e-mail address.

All you have to do is enter your email address and account password, and sprint does the rest...

I believe for the browser to pop up it needs to on a bb plan for the first initialization of the phone then you can switch back or just download operamini to a pc and using dm pushing that to the bb
