Default Change Trackball LED Color - 01-29-2008, 08:35 AM

Hey, i saw someone in the mall with a blackberry with a green trackball LED instead of white. Does anyone here know how to do that? Thanks

You cannot change the trackball color via it's LEDs on the 8800.

You can on the 8100.

You can use a sharpie... others have.

Does anyone know if you can change the body of the 8320 to black? Not with a skin etc.. but the actual casing.

Nope. But I have heard of people priming and painting their berries with auto body paints. A search on this site will show how it's done -- with pics if I remember correctly.

The easist way to hack a BB8800 trackball light is simply to glue a coloured filter over the LED

Coloured sweet wrappers make good filters just glue a small square of it over the LED using a clear glue (a small dab of spray adhesive would probably work quite well)
or at a push you could just colour in the LED with a coloured marker but this is likley to reduce the light output somewhat
