Default BBSmart Email Viewer vs Empower - 02-23-2008, 01:13 PM

Which email viewer program are most of you using between these two or if there is another that you feel is better than either of these, please recommend it.

Tell me why you choose the one you have and recommend just so I can get pros and cons before I make a choice.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (8800: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

They are both good if you consider BBSmart vs the pro version of Empower. I prefer BBSmart because the developer is active in this forum and provides great support and has said he has some things coming out in the few months. Both have a trial period, you can test yourself as well.

Using BBSmart on 3 devices and love it! Support is perfect, I recently switched from a Curve to a Curve with GPS 8300 -> 8310 and received the new code (coz of the PIN change) within less than 1 hour. What else can you ask for.

Regards,
Ralf

I was about to start a fight, but I am only the 8th post.

Check out the Aftermarket forum. Plenty of answers in there. I chose BBSmart because mainly of the developer. I really liked his attitude and how he handled himself on the boards. The app is great as well :P

this is why I chose BBsmart as well. But I have to admit I like the speed of empower over BBsmart. I like the smart say of BBsmart and the adding of tasks

Default In Theory - 02-26-2008, 06:23 AM

In theory do we need either of these with the new BB OS coming out?

Sorry I own both and am not trying to put either company out of business but I was wondering....

Thanks....

I own both and both are great products. I believe both developers have been responsive above the call of duty to their customers. Right now I use Empower because I believe it is faster in bringing up the email message after I click it. It may just be my perception.

Thanks,

Mark

I have purchased both (prior to hearing about the new o.s.) starting with BBSmart, and finally trying and staying with Empower. I wonder how well the new o.s. will stack up against these two, so it's good to know I can fall back on them if need be.

What made you decide to stay with Empower?

And does anyone have any timeframe release for new OS?
