I have an 8830 on BES that I would like to NOT be notified for Calandar entries. I am running OS.176 and the device is new. I cannot get the calendar entry reminders from displaying on the Blackberry.

I noticed on the 8130 there is a selection under Calendar >Options> and you can choose your Desktop calendar and it gives you more options than the 8830. This does work on the 8130 and am wondering if this is an OS thing?

Does anyone know how to get the device to STOP displaying reminders. I still want the reminders to appear on my desktop but not on the Blackberry.

I don't believe that's possible. You can go into your profiles and turn off notifications but you will still get the popup reminder. There is no way to disable this on the BB at this time nor is there going to be that option in 4.5 that I'm aware of.

My 8130 has the selection to not display reminders and it does work. Maybe 4.3 for the 8830 will offer it like the 8130 does?

Thank goodness I don't get these reminders on BIS, that would drive me crazy.

Wouldn't this be an Outlook option not to display reminders?

4.2 OS does not have this feature. RIM said that 4.3 will have it if Verizon decides to go with it. I can verify that the the 8130 w/ OS 4.3 does not have the issue.
